the day after christmas joe and i went and rode around lake tahoe. we started in stateline at about 7:15 and finished around 4:15. down around emerald bay was just beautiful, i'm not going to lie and say i'll put pictures up (until i get some system together to store them in the database it's a just a dream). i'd still like to get one more ride in before we go down to bishop, maybe an overnighter.

joe and i were out riding our way around mccarran and i saw dan's old titty pink truck drive by. i was supprised to see it still running, when he sold it to the kid it needed $700+ in work, and a bunch of duct tape needed ot be removed.

megatokyo has stolen stile's spot in my limited list of distractions. if only they updated it more than three times a week. as i noted earlier joe and i have been doing some training rides, what i'm not sure if i mentioned was that we're going to be riding down to bishop in janurary, wheather permiting. it'll be his first touring and my first winter trip so we're pretty excited.

last nite the reno linux

last nite the reno linux users groups had their x-mas party at bravarian world. afterwards we all went over to the silver peak for a few more drinks, forgetting that my cs201 final was this morning at 9:45 i drank it up. while there i ran into chrissy edwards, kadie hawkins and briana hodges. i hungout with them for a while and had a few beers, chrissy and kadie are living together out in sparks somewhere so i'll give them a call and go do something next week probably. as for the final i made it up there on time and probably did okay.

i went by picket park and those fire people were at it again. "hey it's drewish (as in drewish.com)", they'd actually been to the website and seen the pictures. i actually went to school with three or four of them. tom kaminski (i'm sure that's spelled wrong) said he'd teach me how to do the fire breathing. i'm looking forward to it, and a few more picture can't hurt the site. in other news i'm going to ride down to carson with joe as a training/for the hell of it ride. since this is really the first distance i've done since august it'll be nice to get out again.

one of my roommates downloaded two bright eyes mp3s and now i'm listening to that instead of my standard eurodance blend anyone want to buy me letting off the happiness for christmas? i've been talking with joe lane about riding down to bishop in janurary, i'm a little concerned about the wheather but it still sound like fun. the big thing is the time i'm going to be doing an thailand, nepal, india tour with my dad in feb for 3 weeks. that's already a lot of time to be ignoring email for, another week won't help.

i'm pretty annoyed right now, a webbrowser is probably the worst platform for doing any kind of data entry. i just spend 15 minitues working on a post and then it got trashed, there's no fucking way i'm going to retype all that. any other app would have asked if i possibly wanted to save the data.

i hate counter-strike, it's ruining my life. i've been playing for the last 10 hours. i my eyes can't focus, the only breaks i've taken were to drink coffee and take a piss. now i've got to ride home and get some sleep. stay away from it.

on 1.12.00 intercomm (the business my biz is subletting space from) was purchased by lifestyle internet. the transition has been interesting, the new people are a much more microsoft shop than roger and ron. it's always funny to see a nt admin who's way out of their league, let's just say i've been chuckling quite a bit recently. i got this old heathkit h19 terminal from roger as he was cleaning out stuff before he left. after spending way to many hours fiddling with it i finally got it going with my freebsd box, it's got tons of old school charm. eventually i'll put it on the coffee table in the living room and use it for text work. some of you might be interested in the car free hall of fame i put up for the nbg
