Comments: radical or liberal?

Yeah, i agree about the idealism of ararchism. In the world of ideals i really am an anarchist. And I am 100% against using money as the sole gauge of worth. So those are the poles, the bright ideal and the machine-materialist anti-ideal. What you say about the initial skirmishes of revolution needing to be more subtle like strangers speaking, that's so right on: because we only exist in relation, and language is how we relate, conversation and listening. People are so impatient with that, would rather lob grenades and M.O.A.B.'s than talk. But subtle persuasion is always more powerful. The poets are the most powerful people in history.

dan,
i believe you are correct in your example of what anarchy (with a capital A) can become, but i think in regards to giving those sort of examples one must pursue other examples too. the reason i say this is primarily that anarchy as the idealistic view of a human's universal sense of morality allowing self rule, and capitalism as a system of money as the sole gauge fo worth, have become truisms and revolve around a single entity's world view. they progress to more internal views which are reproduced on a larger scale externally. the revolutionary devices of our time will have to be incarnates of a new sort. the world will always revert to riots in the streets but the intial skirmishes will have to be far more subtle. Kinda like more strangers speaking to each other about how they feel.
