i enjoy your journal. comments about what is a "successful" civilization are certainly a puzzle. i don't think we can claim too much brilliance. too many cows? there sure are. being vege is a noble choice in many ways.

stop at steamer land in santa cruz if you havn't already passed santa cruz. it is surfing holy place.
